How to get Weekly Summary for Contact Form 7?
Prerequisites
- The Weekly Email Summary is a pro Add-on of the Ultimate Addons for Contact Form 7 plugin. Ensure you have a valid license and the pro plugin activated. If you don’t have one yet, you can get one from here.
- Ensure you’ve updated the Ultimate Addons for Contact Form 7 Plugin to version 3.5.1 or higher and the Ultimate Addons for Contact Form 7 Pro Plugin to version 1.8.1 or higher.
- Ensure that the Database Addon is enabled from the addon list. The Database Addon is required for the Weekly Email Summary addon. Without it, the Weekly Email Summary addon will not function properly.
Step 1 – Turn on the Weekly Email Summary from addon list
To use the Weekly Email Summary Add-on, you first need to enable it from the Add-on list. Navigate to Ultimate Addons > All Addons, locate the Add-on, and toggle the button to turn it on.
Step 2 – Configure the Weekly Email Summary Settings
Before configuring the settings, it’s crucial to set the timezone according to your preference. Without the correct timezone, the settings may misbehave, and you might not receive the email summary at the exact time.
To set up the timezone, navigate to Settings > General > Timezone from your WordPress dashboard. Select the timezone that matches your preference. For this demonstration, I’m using GMT+6 as my timezone, but it may vary depending on your location.
Now, after enabling the addon, navigate to Ultimate Addons > Settings > UACF7 Email Configuration > Weekly Email Summary. Turn on the Enable Weekly Email Summary option to activate the feature.
After enabling the button, new options will appear. Let’s go through each option in detail.
Get Report On: This option allows you to choose between Daily and Weekly reports.
- Daily: If you select “Daily,” you will receive the email report at the end of your local day at 11:59 PM (23:59). The email will be sent to you on a daily basis.
- Weekly: If you select “Weekly” from the dropdown, you will receive the email report at the end of your local week. The timing will be calculated based on your local timezone, and the email will be sent at 11:59 PM (23:59) on the 6th day of the week.
Mail Send To: This option allows you to specify where the email reports will be sent. You can choose between “Site Admin” or “Custom”.
- Site Admin: If you select this option, the report will be sent to the website administrator’s email address. This email is configured under Dashboard > Settings > General > Administration Email Address.
- Custom: If you select this option, you can specify any email address of your choice. A text box will appear when you choose the custom option, allowing you to input the desired email address to receive the report.
Subject Line: This option allows you to specify the subject line for the report email, you can set any email subject according to your preference.
