When you navigate to Tourfic Settings > Cancellation, you’ll find several options specific to tours, hotels, apartments, and car rentals. These cancellation settings allow you to customize cancellation policies, ensuring a tailored experience for customers after they book your services.
In this article, we will briefly discuss the Cancellation settings and how they can be customized to suit your needs.

Cancellation Settings
Time Zone
The first section of the cancellation settings is Time Zone. This section allows you to set up the time zone for your cancellations. For example, if you have a hotel in Dhaka, Bangladesh (GMT+6), and a client books it from New York, USA (GMT-5), there could be confusion about how to calculate the days or hours accurately due to the time zone difference.
To reduce such complications, we’ve added the time zone setting. With this enabled, the system will automatically calculate days and hours according to the website’s configured time zone, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Select Time Zone
This setting allows you to choose the time zone for your cancellation calculations. You can select a time zone based on your specific needs. I have selected ‘Dhaka’ as the time zone.
Hotel
In this section, you can configure settings specific to hotels.
Hotel Check-in Time
Specify the hotel check-in time in this section to ensure that cancellation hours and times are calculated accurately.
For example, if you set a cancellation policy allowing free cancellation up to 1 day before check-in, the system will use the specified check-in time to calculate the deadline automatically.
You can specify any time in this setting. For example, I am selecting 11:59 AM as the hotel check-in time.
Tour
In this section, you can configure settings specific to tours.
Tour Check-in Time
Specify the check-in time for tours in this setting to streamline cancellation calculations.
For instance, if you’ve added a cancellation policy that allows free cancellation up to 1 day before check-in, the system will use the specified check-in time to calculate the deadline.
In this example, I’m setting the tour check-in time to 9:00 AM.
Apartment
In this section, you can configure settings specific to apartments.
Apartment Check-in Time
Set the check-in time for apartments in this section to ensure accurate cancellation policy calculations.
For example, if your policy offers free cancellation up to 2 days before check-in, the system will rely on the check-in time you set here.
I’m selecting 11:59 AM as the check-in time for apartments.
