In this article, we will discuss how to set up Redirection for Contact Form 7 using the Contact Form 7 Redirect Addon of Ultimate addons for Contact Form 7 Plugin.
What’s needed
- Make sure Contact Form 7 and Ultimate Addons for Contact Form 7 are installed on your WordPress site.
- Go to Contact -> Ultimate Addons menu in your WordPress Dashboard and enable the Redirection checkbox. Then click the Save Changes button. This will enable the “Contact Form 7 redirect addon” settings.
CF7 Redirect to Thank You Page – Live Example
In this tutorial, we will create a Contact Form 7 form which will redirect to the Thank you page or external pages like the example below. You can, for sure, create your form following the same steps.

Contact Form 7 Redirect Setup
Go to Contact -> Add New in your WordPress Dashboard to create a new form. You will find a UACF7 Redirection option available above your admin panel of the Contact Form alongside Form, Mail, Messages, and Additional Settings.
UACF7 Redirection Tab Options
Click on the UACF7 Redirection. You will find that there are several settings such as…
Enable redirection: Under the Enable redirection, you will find two sub-options:
- Redirect to page: This option enables you to redirect to a Thank You Page or A Particular Page, according to your call.
- Redirect to external URL: This option enables you to redirect to a particular URL you want your user/audience to visit. It could be your business page or something informative.
Conditional Redirect: This is a Pro feature. You can learn more about this from here.
Open Page in New Tab: This option will open the Thank You Page or External URL on a new tab of your browser.
Tags support to redirect URL: This is a Pro feature. You can learn more about this from here.
Setting Up Redirection for Contact Form 7
As you know the features now, you have to choose your options to set up the Redirection process. First Turn on Enable redirection, then choose whether you want to Redirect to a page or Redirect to an external URL.
Redirect to page: Click the radio button for Redirect to page after you’ve turned on Enable redirection. You’ll find a dropdown menu below called Choose Page. This dropdown menu will show you the pages you have created on your WordPress website. Choose the page you want to Redirect to.
Redirect to external URL: Suppose you want your user to go to an external URL after submitting (e.g. your Facebook page or any other pages), you click the radio button for Redirect to external URL after you’ve turned on Enable redirection. You will find a URL Box. Place the URL you want to redirect to. You are done!
Note: If you want to redirect your page or URL to a new tab on your browser, turn on the ‘Open page in a new tab’ from this panel.
Thats it! Now, hit the Save Changes button and your task of Contact Form 7 redirect to the thank you page is achieved 🙂
Copy the Shortcode
Once u hit save, copy the Contact form shortcode.
Time to Publish
Paste the shortcode wherever you want to show your form (Pages/Posts/Custom Post Types/Sidebars). The result should be something similar to the above form.
