3 min read

Reviewfic integrates with WooCommerce to automate review collection, enhance product pages, and organise reviews by product.

Note: WooCommerce must be installed and active. Go to Reviewfic > WooCommerce to configure all settings.

a. Post-Purchase Review Emails #

Automatically email customers after their order is completed, inviting them to leave a review.

Step 1 — Enable #

Check Enable review request emails.

Step 2 — Set the Send Delay #
Delay Option Best Use Case
Immediately Physical store, instant fulfilment, digital products
1-2 days Fast delivery
3-5 days Standard shipping
7 days Slower delivery or services
14 days Complex services, consultancy
Step 3 — Select the Review Landing Page #

Choose any published WordPress page from the dropdown. This page must have the

or

JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP — max 5 MB (optional)

shortcode on it. Customers land here when they click the email button.

Tip: Create the review page first (see Section 12a) before configuring the email.

Step 4 — Customise the Email #

Subject line placeholders: {customer_name} {order_id} {site_name}
Body placeholders: {customer_name} {order_id} {site_name}
A styled Leave a Review button with your review page link is added automatically to the bottom of every email.

Step 5 — Save #

Click Save WooCommerce Settings.

How It Works #

  • An order status changes to Completed.
  • Reviewfic schedules an email via WP-Cron at the configured delay.
  • The email is sent with your subject, body, and a green Leave a Review CTA button.
  • For single-product orders, the link includes the product ID for auto-tagging (see Section 15c).

b. Replace WooCommerce Reviews Tab #

Replace the default WooCommerce product reviews tab with Reviewfic’s templates for a more polished, on-brand presentation.

Setup #
  • Go to Reviewfic > WooCommerce.
  • Check Replace the WooCommerce reviews tab.
  • Click Save WooCommerce Settings.
What Changes #
  • The Reviews tab on each product page renders using Reviewfic’s Classic template in a 3-column grid.
  • A Write a Review button at the bottom links to your configured review landing page.
  • No review data is lost — all existing WooCommerce reviews are just displayed differently.

c. Auto-Tag Reviews by Product #

Automatically tag reviews with the product name as a Reviewfic category when a customer arrives from a review request email.

How It Works #
  • The review request email link includes a product ID: yoursite.com/leave-a-review/?rwf_product=42
  • The customer opens the link and the review form reads the product context from the URL.
  • When they submit, Reviewfic gets the product name, creates a Reviewfic Category for it if needed, and tags the review.

Note: Auto-tagging works for single-product orders only. Multi-product orders send a review link without product context.

Setup #
  • Go to Reviewfic > WooCommerce.
  • Check Auto-tag reviews with product name as category.
  • Click Save WooCommerce Settings.

Using Tagged Reviews #

Once reviews are tagged by product, display product-specific reviews anywhere:

  • Go to Reviewfic > Shortcode Generator > Create New Shortcode.
  • Under Filters, set Category to the product name.
  • Save and copy the shortcode — embed it on the product page.
